Performance H-pipe w/cats

I am looking to do some exhaust mods on my 87 gt and have a few questions for you guys. Currently all I have done is a set of magnaflow mufflers but now I want to get new headers(shorty) and a h-pipe with cats. I live in seattle and still want to pass emissions but hate the stock 4 cat system I have now. So what are some good brands that you know of? I know BBK sells one in the 300's but I have heard so many bad things about BBK such as things not lining up etc.

Also, maybe someone knows this too, if I just get an off-road h-pipe without cats and my engine is tunned and running well do you think I would still pass emissions?

You already have the magnaflow muffers. Go with a catted Magnaflow X pipe. I have the Magnaflow X pipes and cat backs on the 95 and they fit like stock and sound great. They're stainless steel and will last forever. They are about $200 more than BBK but worth it. I pass the PA emmisions test with them every time.

I don't think you have a chance of passing with off road pipes.
