Is it a PI intake that you are looking at?

Replace your stock intake with the PI (Performance Improved) intake found on the '99-'04 Mustangs. The ports don't line up exactly the same, but using a liberal amount of RVT silicone, along with the PI intake gaskets will make sure there are no leaks. Literally hundreds of members here running earlier non-PI engines have done the swap and with great results.

Remember, you're going to want the later intake with the aluminum crossover in the front side otherwise you risk the intake cracking again like your old one.

Yeah thats a PI intake with the parts needed to put it on our NPI heads.

You can piece it together yourself for cheaper using ebay even.

Sure is.....that's why they call them "Performance Impoved". It's good for about 20-25hp in your case.

Yep--it's worth the upgrade, especially since your current one is broke. It's not a difficult swap from all the articles I have read, but I have yet to do it

Well, if you've got to replace it anyway, it honestly doesn't make sense for you to replace it with anyting esle but the PI unit. Especially if it's only going to cost you an extra $100. I mean....you weren't thinking about a little extra money when you added the k&n cai, tb, tb spacer, under drive pulleys, o/r h pipe, mac cat back, and 373's were you?

i didnt want to waste the money if there was no improvement but if it will add about 20 hp it worth the extra 100 bucks
