Wuzzup y'all? I'm new to the mod 4.6 world. I've spent a lot of time on my wife's '98 V6. So, where do I begin with my Mach 1? In most catalogs and magazines, I see parts listed for GT and for Cobra. Every once in a while I see Mach 1 part. Is there a rule of thumb when searching for parts compatible with the Mach's powerplant? It seems that is a vresion of the '99-'02 Cobra mill... Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In most cases, but not all, if it does'nt specifically say Mach 1 for a part listing, then the GT part will fit on the Mach. I have yet to buy a part where you picked the '99-'01 Cobra part as the part you need for the Mach if your looking for it. I just bought some different valve covers, and those were listed under "Cobra" valve covers. If in doubt, just call the company.

Buy the GT for the X-pipe. As far as headers I looked up a website and the Mach fell under the GT also for BBK and Bassani, so the other brands should follow suit also.

Not true. All midpipes are the same wether it being a Mach1, GT, or Cobra. You don't want headers for a GT being it comes with a SOHC engine. You want the headers for a Cobra being it has a DOHC engine.

Also we have the same catback as a GT. The Cobra has a different catback seeing as it has IRS.

At the ninosport website, the headers for BBK and Bassani is listed as 1996-04 Mustang GT, Mach 1. The listing for Cobra stuff is in a totally different category. I think I'll go with the category that actually says Mach 1 in it.

Once again, you cannot use the headers if there for a GT. SOHC. The headers for the 03-04 Cobra are the same as our Mach1's. DOHC. Just be careful.

Yes, I believe you are correct. I looked at afew other sites and they have the headers broken down into 2V and 4V. Ninosport is wrong. But like I said earlier, call the company if in doubt. Sorry for the wrong info.
