So I am planning getting the PI intake and cams pretty soon to put onto a 98 npi. I've been looking around and deciding whether or not to get the adapter plates, and I believe that I'd rather have them, as a blower in the far future may be a possibility. And I figure I might as well go ahead and do it right now. Is there anywhere other than Livernois that sells the adapter plates? The Livernois kit is currently priced at $500. I can get the intake for a hundred bucks, so i figure that the plates can't be worth $400. Ideas? Or am I better off just using a bunch of RTV? Thanks.

just RTV it, it has nothing to do with the intake ports, only the water jackets, so you can still run boost, and not worry about blowing the intake gaskets, 400$ is a crazy price for those adapters, i have had my intake on for about 8 months now with NO problems

a tube of rtv is like 4$ bucks.......

and you will love the pi cams/intake swap:nice:

The reason the livernois kit is higher is because they shave the intake down so you can still have hood clearance and they supply the longer bolts needed so you can just bolt it on when you get it instead of having to hunt for longer bolts

well, the longer bolts arent a problem for me, but will the pi intake not fit under the stock hood? or does it just not fit if you also use the adapter plates?

The Livernois kit modifies the intake. It will fit with the stock intake but if you have an aftermarket plenum or strut tower brace it will not. I bought some homemade pieces from a guy here but he doesn't do them anymore.
