I was wondering if anyone has done the swap and has a supercharger. I am coming to a limit on cheaper mods and would like to get them done before i venture into things such as cams and such. I would like to know if there is significiant power gains associated with the swap or will it be a waste of time. I have done an extensive search and turned up nothing about the swap with a S/C so if anyone has anything they could contribute it would be much appriciate.

Yeah, plenty have done it with a blower, with great results. As a matter of fact, some I've seen don't even use adapter plates, just some RTV silicone around the ports, with no issue. Now, the question you need to ask yourself is what kind of supercharger are you going to use. If it's a centrifugal, that you're good to go, but if it's a positive displacement like a Kenne Bell, Eaton, or Whipple, then you're not going to need the upper intake anyway, so it's pretty much a waste of time. It’s all gonna depend on what you wanna do?

I am currently running the Vortech S trim blower and i am not changing it anytime soon. I am assuming that when i replace the intake i will need another tune? I guess i am going to go for it and see what happens i think the power gains should but good and well worth it.

I have NPI heads and NOVI 1000. I wanted more power and it wasn't running right after replacing my cracked intake. I'm going with PI heads and a NOVI 2000. I had the heads ported and bowl work done to reduce the compression ratio. Unfortunately, there seems to be a pinhole crack in one of my heads. The engine's been pulled, an aluminum welder is trying his best to fix the crack. It's thought to be from a casting error or rough handling. It sucks.

So your saying after you replaced your NPI intake with a PI one your car didn't run right? Did you have it tuned before going into boost? I was told that the PI intake would go on fine by most people this is the only sitution that i have heard of anyting going wrong. Sorry to hear but it seems that you are going to be making good power. Good luck

If you spend the $649 dollars on the livernois motorsports kit that includes the PI intake and adaptor plates to adapt them to the NPI heads then you wont have any sealing issues under boost , thats the only way to do it right , the silicone will probably blow out under any kind of boost ...IMO...

livernoismotorsports.com for the kit , should be on first page of website ....you will need to retune the car probably ......

This is exactly why I put this kit on my car. I want the best seal possible when I put the blower on the car. With this kit and my cams I gained 43rwhp from my stock NPI intake and cams. Now just a blower on and the power will be even higher compared to a blown NPI car.

I know i want to do everyting as right as possible but for 650 dollars instead of 125 i may take the chance and see what happens. What things can go wrong? Would the intake just burst or could i potentially harm my heads and such?

I *believe* that you would just lose power...don't know for sure..

I'll give ya a bump though, I'm interested too.
