Hello i was wondering is the PI intake swap worth the money and trouble? I am planning on doing the methanol injection along with different header setup so the labor is going to be high and i don't wanna do a mod that isn't really worth an extra 8 hours. Anyone with any comments or info pls dial in the rest of my mods are in the sig. Thanks

In your case, I would definitely do it. I dont see it being an extra 8 hours in labor though.

I dont see how it would take anybody 8 hours to install a PI Intake.

i bet the pi intake would be worth 40hp on your car cause of the blower. you should think about some blower cams as well.

wouldn't the pi headswap raise the compression ratio? so would that be worse if he has the super charger? I was just wondering cause i wanted to do the head swap also

Yes, the PI headswap would raise his compression. However, the PI Intake would not. The heads are what makes the difference in the compression because the 96-98 come with flat top pistons if you pair that with the PI heads you raise your compression as opposed to the 99+ GT's which come with a dished piston.

The 8 hours remark was being sarcastic all i would like to know is if it is worth the time and money for anyone who has relatively the same mods as me. I deal with JD's performance for my dyno sessions and a friend for all my other work.

Took me about 5 hours total work time by myself...but it was spead out over 2 days since my install kit arrived at 3PM. I took my time and labeled EVERYTHING so I wouldn't forget where it went. I had my car dyno'd last Saturday and put down 213.6HP. By comparison and 97 GT with nearly the same mods save for the plenum and TB put down 188HP. The swap gained me over 20 HP.
