pi swap question

will a 2001 crown vic engine heads and intake work for a pi swap on my 1998 gt??? even though the plenum is facing the wrong way,it looks like i can just rotate mine,advice please

lower intake is the same, upper itnake i think just has to be turned around.

friend of mine has a crown vic engine complete with under 30,000 on it for like $800 but i didnt want to snag it if it was worth dirt,hell i might just pull my 45,000 mile motot and swap it all to a 2001

so their is no power difference between the mustang engine and the crown vic huh?

engines themselves should be the same. the crown vic has a not as free flowing exhaust and more conservative tune which accounts for the factory rater power difference. 260 in the mustang vs 239 in the vic.

Heads and intake are the same, you can reverse the upper plenum. Camshafts are different, hence, like stated above, hp rating is lower.
