OK, I'm sure some of you are familiar with me right now cause of my pi swap problems. A small issue is the temp sensors. As you know the pi intake only has one were as 96-98 have 2. I have herd that there is a way of splicing the two together. Just need to know what to do. Also for those of you helping us through the swap and ?s, this is tnstanggurls bf. I appriciate all the help and will be redoing the timing asap. I'm not a master mechanic but I pretty much know what I'm doin. Im only 16 and this is my first ohc swap so Im learnin more and more as I go. Im sure alot of you have been in my shoes, thats why I appriciate all the help. Thanx Alot,
Wes

The "t" fitting is a bad idea because it does not give you an accurate reading of what your temp actually is. The best two ways to fix this problem are install the sensor in the side of the driver side of the block below the exhaust post. There is a headless nut the can be taken out and is the same size as the temp sensor.

Or you could buy a new intake with a metal crossover, which you can drill and tap to install the sensor.

I personally did it the first way because I didn't have the money at the time for the new intake.

Don't use the "T" fitting idea. That's how mine was set up when I had it done. Water doesn't flow into the T, so you don't get an accurate reading...IF both sensors are in contact with the water. What's worse is if you get an air bubble in the T fitting, then there's no coolant at the sensor, just the air above it. Bad, Bad.

Most have had the front driver's side of the intake manifold drilled and tapped with a pipe thread to accomodate the driver's side sensor; or drilled and tapped a hole into the thermostat housing.

Just tap a hole on the drivers side front of the intake. It should be in the same place as the hole on the passenger side of the intake but on the drivers side, if you know what i mean. I bought a 2004 intake from FRPP so i don't know if mine is the same as yours but mine had metal corners while the rest of the intake was plastic. I am assuming you have the same.
