Does the PI Torque Converter really give u ALL the horsepower you lose by having an automatic compared to a manual? Do you think it is worth gettin an AOD to 3650 Conversion kit?

The torque convertor won't give you any power. It may be a little more efficient than the earlier TC but nothing really noticeable.

Can you drive a manual well? Can you drive your automatic well?

I ask that because both are good, but you have to know how to drive your car.

An automatic with a converter and shift kit, can be just as fast as a manual, if not faster. There will be no power gains, but you will be able to leave from higher RPM's, and have firmer, more agressive shifts. Its kind of your decision on what you want to do, and how much money you have to spend.

you must be talking about the PI HEADS not the torque converter

like GTnoob said, you're probably talking about the PI heads and intake. Honestly most of the power is in the intake, but you'll pick up a little with the heads due to better flow and an increase in compression. I believe you may have to run premium grade fuel with a PI head swap though, it bumps the compression close to if not over 10:1

The torque multiplication of the converter will deliver an increase of up to 50 horsepower to the rear wheels

This means more torque to the wheels not more HP

you know if you have more torqe to the wheels you will get more HP.. HP is a messurement of torqe over time or RPM..

that's kind of like gears giving you more torque, they really don't but the percieved torque is higher because you have increased mechanical advantage. At least I've never heard of a torque converter giving more power (hp or torque) on a dyno

Never heard of a torque converter adding horsepower I always thought they would get you into your powerband a lot quicker, BLAKEGT I thought you wanted to swap to a M5?

I have a P.I. converter in my car and it will not show anymore hp on the dyno. I didn't look at the above link but I think what they are talking about is that by adding there converter it will increase your acceleration like you added 40-50hp.

An example is if you want to drop .5 second of your 1'4 mile time you need to add 50hp. By adding their converter you didn't add any hp but you will still drop that .5 second in the 1/4. These are just round about figures used as an example.
