I just picked up a little project car. Its an 85 GT with no seats, interior, or ac. The previous owner says it has:

302 bored 30 over to 306. no info on the piston/rods but he said it was built for spray.
Trickflow stage 1 cam
Ported stock heads w/GT40 1.6 roller rockers
Cobra Trans (built by ProMotion in Ft.lauderdale)
Holly Blue fuel pump
Dynomax Mufflers (dumped under car)
Mac 1 5/8 long tube headers.

Now, I'm quoting him verbatim here, so please feel free to comment on that list.
I'm assuming if the cylinders were bored they didnt put stock pistons and rods back in it, but who knows if its even been bored.

I planned on getting a good plate kit and working my way up to a 100hp wet shot, but before that I'd like to make sure everything is up to par. I think the carb and intake mani are stock, so I'd like to get something that works well with nitrous, any suggestions?

for a 100hp shot you can use pretty much any intake you want. dual plane intakes from what i have been told are good to about 150 hp shot. After that you want a single plane. Basically you have to match with your other parts with your combo. How high are you going to run it in the rpm range?

I dont know, whats suggested? Do you run a window switch on your setup? I have no experience with carb'd vehicles, what carb/intake setup would you recommend for upto 150 shot and also be streetable?

EDIT: I have a ton of questions, so I think I'll browse around a bit.

Im going to go with a Performer rpm Air Gap intake also im going to spray a 150 shot but i will start off low 75 then to 100 then to 125 just to get comfortable with it...I think im going to use a 3 switch method...1 to arm it 2 by the carb so when it floored its on, but the 3rd one will be either on the shifter knob or on a teather cord...so if when you want to spary just hit the button, or if you starting spinning you gat let up and its off too...Thats the way i had it in all my cars with Nitrous...Actuall thats how i have in im my Magnum SRT-8 and thats a fly by wire car i like it because it safe....you need all 3 operating before you spray....so you cant accidently hit it on unless everything if on and your floored...Hope this helps...

Well I have a wiend stealth intake on my 351w. I really like it. Makes lots of power down low where I want it to have a little fun in town. As far as carb's go if you don't want to have to play with all the time get an edelbrock. If you want to play and tune then get a demon or a holley. In your case I doubt you want to go bigger then a 650.

150 shot seems a bit big for my tastes.. my big block set up runs a 200 and i'll be adding more to it... but when i get the plate system in my sbf i'm only going to put a 100-125 shot max..

also keep in mind that if you're running nitrous you're going to have to sump your fuel tank (the last thing you want on a nitrous set up is to lean out....without a doubt)... you also have to get a timing retard. however, according to some other people that i've talked to, this only depends on how big of a shot you're running.. i hear that you can run up to a 100 shot without retarding the timing. however, i don't know. just some more food for thought!

i think it is safer to retard your timing 2 degrees for every 50 hp shot of juice. I think i have 2 degrees retard for every 75hp shot atm. it is working well. As far as the sump the tank i just run my tank over 1/2 full.

Thanks for the info. I didnt even notice before, but it also has a Holley carb and Edlebrock Performer manifold. I think I saw 5080B on the side of the carb....not sure. I'm gonna get into it this weekend. I think they may have the timing already retarded, cause its not so fast off the bottle.

Ugh, if you have a set up with 200 shot already, dont you know if you should retard the timing for a 100 shot? Not flaming just asking
