picking springs?

i want to lower my car 2 inches, i know the difference between progressive and specific rate springs, i heard u dont get weight transfer from stiffer springs so i was thinking progressive, i wanted to know if thats true, and i also wanted to know what the weight ratios mean, i always see them on springs, thanks!

are you referring the the ratios on shocks? such as 90/10 and 50/50?
