I am shooting for Mid 400's rwhp with torque about the same and thats probably where i will tune it to being that it is a stock block.

My original plan did include the small shot for cool air as for that I have taken it out for the same reason above.

As for it getting squirly out back hopefully the 305 nitto 555r do thier job.

Machine Shop called today to update me about the build

Machine Shop called today to update me about the build

Well it seems that during the blueprinting process the crank journal is measured and the rods are measured. Seems like the new rods were not all symetrical to the crank not providing the proper clearance. Possibly causing a problem down the road. I mention this just because I suppose others out there might be wanting to build there own 347 or 306. Dont take for granted that the parts are new or just left the machine shop and put it together without checking all the tolerances.

Also I believe some engine builders might have just put it together. I dont know maybe. But it makes me feel better that this shop takes there time, and trust me they take there time But hey I guess it will be worth the wait.

Things NEED to be like they need to be

How does one KNOW if they don't check it

Good luck with everything. I remember the machine shop had my block for almost three weeks. Waiting is the hardest part but it'll be worth it.

Summit Trick Flow Springs advertised seat pressure 120lbs.

Builder Checked Spring pressure at 70 lbs not enough for my cam

Guess thats another 165.00 for dual springs.

Yeah I hope so too. But you Know I am kinda in his hands and he is reputable. He isnt exactly a cheap machine shop but what am I gonna do, You know I had been running these TW heads for like 4 years and I think I checked my rocker adjustment once. And drove the Piss out of them. I could have got away with just single trick flow spring if i used my old cam. But with the bigger cam I needed higher seat pressure.

What am I suppose to do ya know right now I am at about $2500 worth of machine work. But that does include assembly of the long block, cam timing, and valve train install..

Yeah yeah i dont wanna hear about the joys of assembling it myself it will probably sit there some more.

naw dont take it personal If i didnt mean well i would have tried to sell you on the 4"

As far as the build is concern well you know I might have been able to go ahead and saved maybe a few hundred bucks by ordering a chp or dss short block and thrown my stuff on it but i just didnt feel like that was my best option, you see I have heard things from those guys and I have heard bad things and then if you are on the other end of the bad side they are a little far.And everything is mail order. I dont know dam if you do dam if you dont.
