Hey guys, I'm looking to see if anyone has any pics of Beryllium colored Saleens. Either personal pics or pics located on the web somewhere. I know Brad Barnett has some on his site that I've seen, but I'd like to see others.

Thanks...

Is Beryllium a kind of burnt orange color? If it is, then you can go to mustanglife.com and see afew pics of one. The Saleen he has is the only one that was sold to the pubic. The only other one belongs to Steve Saleen. Just go to mustanglife.com, then click on "Chapters" on the left hand side. Then click on Washington Chapter. Then go down to "May 13th KK Meet" and click on that. Their's about 6 pics of his Saleen in that photo thread. Sorry, I don't know how to post the pics in there myself. Hope it's what your looking for.

Thanks guys...along the line of what I was looking for. A friend of mine purchased his wife a Sonic Blue '05 Mustang (unfortunately just a base V6 model). I showed him and his wife a pic of the '05 Saleen in Beryllium and they wanted to see more, so that is why I'm requesting these. I did a Google search, but didn't come up with much.

Very nice pics from Black Automotive Group (unfortunately they aren't really hi-res photos)...

The one from MustangLife was good, but the pics don't do the color justice. Nice car, I can't imagine why the guy put underbody neon on a Saleen. But, to each their own.

If I am not mistaken the guy above is right. That place has one and recently built it all to hell. If I remember correctly they said that was the only Saleen painted that color. It is kind of a light purple if I am right.

Yeah Brian Blacks car is really bad ass!!!! Like I said I bought my Saleen from them. They are a great bunch of guys and would recommend them to anyone looking for a Saleen, although PAS is a great place, with good customer service. The Blacks have a black 02 Saleen Extreme, I wouldnt mind getting into that one!!!!!!!! lol Jake

Brian's car other than Steve's # 01 and one vert are the only beryllium cars left for 02'. Bumper # 60 was and extreme and totalled on a freeway and not rebuilt.

Wasn't there a Berillium Orange car at the Saleen Annual Car Show last year? It is the one that had the pumpkin that was given away during the raffle. Marcus did you win that as well, heck you won everything else I'll look through my pictures. I'm pretty sure I have one...

I think the Saleen at the show with the pumpkin was a Faleen!

Interesting. I don't know how, but I seem to remember that car with the pumpkin on it was a fake too. I don't believe Steve's car was outside last September but I could be wrong.

Oh yea,

Dave, I didn't win every prize at the show! Only three of the cheap prizes and I gave away the microwave to a good source! I don't believe I'll ever live that down. On second thought, you are the only one who still talks about it. I must send you some Saleen posters or something.

You must come out to the show so I can give you all my raffle tickects. That way I can leave early and you can mail me my wins!

How is your new motor????? You must tell.

I'm just giving you a hard time because I held your place in the burger line when you went to buy the tickets, remember. Now that I'm in Ohio, I won't likely make the show next year. If I could, it would be via a flight w/o the Saleen.

The motor is together and back in the car. It should be ready tomorrow. They are finishing up the gears and dyno-tuning the 4-way chip today. I'm having one tune for 87 octaine (travel mode), and one for 93 (race mode). It should get close to 300 rwhp, which isn't bad for a N/A car. The change to 4.10's should also make it a fun car. The XE270 cam's will also give it a bit of a lope at idle. I can't wait to get it back! Not to mention it is totally stealth. I didn't even put a CAI on the car! I should still be able to show it in the stock class.

I'm about to buy a set of the 18x9 and 18x10 hyper black (black chrome) Saleen wheels as well. I'm tired of trying to find a set of 10" Magnesiums. I'll just put the Speedlines in the corner and mount the 245/285 Michellin Pilot Sports on the new wheels. I'll be sending info and pics soon...

Sal,

For some reason I thought it was a '03/'04 Cobra motor you got. New new motor will still be a big improvement over what you had.

I was looking at a Cobra motor, but didn't end up getting it. I wanted more power, but wanted to maintain the stock look. It would be hard to mistake the DOHC blown Cobra motor for stock. Besides, when I started looking into everything that I'd have to change, I didn't want to tackle it. It would cost me a mint to have done. Plus, I have buddies that are constantly fixing their cars because they did something radical to it. I wanted more power, but didn't want to change the looks that much. As it turns out, the only way people will be able to tell is if they notice that the oil fill valve cover is on the passenger side vs. the drivers side...
