Holy carp. Did it give you any warning before it let go? Usually guys will get really bad vibration problems, and continue driving their cars for a month before doing anything about it.......
btw thats probably the worst Ive ever seen a stock bottom let go....well except the thread where the guy bolted up a cogged YSi with almost 20lbs of boost on a stock bottom....made almost 700rwhp for a few seconds on the dyno lol.
that blows, and sucks monkey balls!!!!!!! lol i was beat to it to, a fram oil filter? its all about the k&n or mobile 1 well now you have an excusse to build a motor....if you were ok on money. get some afr heads.
i got the professional products balencer, im glad i replaced it it was causing bed vibrations.
I didn't know theese were an issue....I have 190,000 Km's (maby 125K miles) should I worriy about changing mine...can you just buy a replacement from a parts store
Not just the balancer to watch for but also the stock balancer bolt. Had my shear off at low rpm ( 10 mph in heavy traffic ). The balancer moved forward but was stop by the motor case on my BM electric fan,it kill the all the fan blade but it did not do any more damage. The side load from a supercharger really stress the unit.
The snout of the balanceralso come apart in my hand when I tried to remove it.
Now I am using a $18 ARP bolt .
