Pics of my new 65 f-b

I've meant to get these up all week, so here they are. It's a C code 289 2V /C4 auto. It was restored around '89 or so, and been kept inside it's entire life ! The color is the original Poppy Red with black std int. The engine and trans have only had 2000 miles put on since the restoration.
It was stock when I got it, but this week I rebuilt the entire front suspension with new upper and lower control arms and did the Shelby drop. Added 1" drop springs, poly perches, Flaming River steering box, all new steering linkage, Shelby quick steer kit, 1" sway bar, and monte carlo bar. Also ordered P.S. Engineering "Eleanor style" 17" wheels this week and BAER brakes for the front !!! I'm gonna order rears as soon as I get a 9" for her. I'm also planning a 331 stroker and AOD soon. I've had many Mustangs, but I love this car ! Maybe she'll be around a while.

Thanks guys. As mentioned above, the BAER 13" rotors require 17" wheels, and I can't find a wheel I like better than the P.S. Engineering wheels. The magnums will be for sale soon !

IMHO, keep those wheels and tires. Too nice of a classic to "Restomod".

Im all about making a car better, but a beautiful 65 fb like that. i wouldnt do anything you cant put back easily. that car will be worth much much more in its original condition. although the magnums are obviously not original to the car. i cant really preach here, but i have a 65 coupe that didnt cost all that much to start. just be tasteful about it. that car is very nice

Thanks for the nice comments ! All my mods revolve around making it handle and stop better, go faster, be more comfortable to drive and safer. All these are bolt-ons, and easily put back if someone desired. As far as value, while I have a STRONG respect for original cars, in my experience, cars with tasteful mods bring more than original cars is similar condition. But, this isn't about value, it's about wanting to enjoy the car.
My goal is to have a car that will :
Comfortably drive to the Rod Run with AC running.
Handle and stop well as I cross the mountains to get there.
Look respectable when it arrives.
And run fast when I wanna flog it at the strip !

Am I asking too much !!
