Hey Guys,
I've always enjoyed checking out your cars and projects on this site but I haven't posted many of mine, until now. I can't get on as much as I would like but you guys have bailed me out several times while doing this project.
The pics are of the front suspension, I'm just now bolting it on and Baer front brakes. I think I posted an engine compartment shot as well as a side shot.
Also non-techie trying photobucket so be patient.

Thanks 65Stangcoupe. The wheels on the car now are a 16x7 (w/225/50/16)American Racing like the 86 Saleen came with. They are sold to my painter. My new wheels are a Vintage V45 in a 17x8 that I ordered with a 4 3/4 bs. I haven't bought tires for them yet but would like a 235 for the front and a 245 or 255 for the rear.

Thanks Guys. I've owned the car for 20 years, it was a white daily driver for about 5 then I parked it with dreams to modify it. I'm finally getting around to it.

65Stangcoupe-I'll try to post a picture of the AR wheels tomorrow

MadBrad & Jcode- Yeah the motor I have is in the sig. I'll post pics tomorrow. I bought the parts and had the machine work done 15 years ago (then it sat to change careers and have kids) and just finished machining and assembled it this year. It is a 351W with modified 400m rods to increase the rod ratio (copied out of a magazine article). If i had to do it again, I would have stroked it, I think it would have been cheaper. I have JE pistons that match (the dish) the World Products cast iron heads. The heads have some pocket work and are match ported. The cam is a Crane custom hydraulic roller w/about .550 lift and 228 @ .050(like I said, its been a while). I have a performer rpm that is port matched also. I have JBA shorty headers for the swap and I am going to make my 1st attempt at installing the motor w/ the 65 mounts. If the headers won't fit, then???. If the shelby hood fits w/66 mounts I'll use those.

I need to update my sig, I have a new 9" and axles but can't decide on 3.50 or 3.89 gears. My diff guy says 3.89's. Oh, got the rear Baer brakes too.

pics tomorrow

That is one nice stang, congrats on the progress! Also, congrats on owning it for so long that's something to be proud of. I wish I would've bought one 20 yrs ago instead of 1 yr ago.
Please keep the pics coming too!

More pics.

65Stangcoupe-should be a better picture of the wheels, thay are the AR version of the Ronal R9

Also a couple of pics during the process, and one engine shot. The engine is now ford blue. The machinist painted it Merc Marine charcoal without asking me what color I wanted it.
