PICTURES: SEAT PAN,REINFORCEMENT PAN,BOLTS & NUTS

Hi Guys

Hope you get these pictures then I'll explain:



As you can see hopefully in the center of the pic (CrossOver Plate) which I believe acts as a brace in my '66 Convert.
You see the C/O/Plate is attached to both Reinforcement Pans and on top of the R/F/Pans is the Seat Riser Pans.

I broke-off the (4) hex bolt head that you see in the above pic. The other were gone before I bought the car. One in the middle and the other lower right in the pic.

The CrossOver Plate is off the car now along with the broken bolts.

Problem: How Do I Reattach The CrossOver Plate? Being that I can't get into the Reinforcement Pan ?
The only way I can see to do that is :

Cut into the reinforcement pan, attach new botls/washes & nut.

Other Problem Too:

I have to cut away the reinforcement pan that attached to the damage inner rocker. Should I believe Support that reinforcement pan and the Upper Seat Raiser ? WHEW! I do hope you guys got all this. I did the best I can to explain it hopefully.

I do need All the help & suggestions on these two situations.

At the present time I'm trying to cut-away the backend of the inner rocker panel that's attached to the rear torque box. JOY TO THE WORLD . . . lol

Why don't you cut a 1" hole in the reinforcement pan from above and slide a nut from above to secure the bottom plate when ready for re-installation?
