Pictures, thoughts & opinions on battery box install

I got the summit battery relocation kit, and to my surprise, they accidentally ( i think) sent me the wrong plastic box. they sent me the huge one for marine batteries, not the normal small one. I can fit a 1000 amp battery in there with no problem...

Positive Cable:
Im buying a kill switch, and running one section of the positive cable to the kill switch, then from the other side of the switch to the solenoid. What im trying to figure out is how to run the positive battery cable to the solenoid. some people run it under the plastic then under the carpet and thru the firewall... others drop it under the car, and run the cable down the framerail. Where on the firewall should i go thru? Opinions please

Negative cable:
Im planning on running that one thru the floor in the hatch and finding a spot on the frame to bolt it to. Anything i should know?

i dunno man, my uncle got the small box and my neighbor got the small one in his camaro. i went to his house last night and he looked up his receipt and it was the same part number, but different boxes. wierd. im just hoping i dont have fittment problems when closing the hatch. that thing is like 18 inches long.

good luck

where on the firewall did you go thru.... was is an existing hole, did you drill one? im asking because my motor and tranny are out, so i dont know exactly where i should go thru... passenger side of firewall, or drivers side of firewall? top of firewall, or bottom of firewall?

I ran the power cable under the plastic on the side and throw the firewall grommet by the steering shaft. Kind of a pain, but it fit nicely. The only pain during the whole install was mounting the box and drilling holes around the frame. I did the fuel pump at the same time so the tank was already out.

Lemme make sure i got this right... you ran the cable under the carpet on the passenger side, or drivers side? If you ran it under the carpet on the passenger side, did you cross it over by the firewall like behind the radio?
