No
Pop that one out and get another, there may be some junk behind it keeping it from seating or it's just out of spec, China don't care about tolerances and you don't want to pull that stuff out to replace it when it fails prematurely.

Well. I took it out and checked if there were any burs or obstruction. There was none. I measured the old bearing and the new one . They were identical. I measured the orifice that the bearing sits is and found it to bottom out with bearing sitting not flush. The old identical one has been in there the same way for almost twenty years. Never had any problems. Anyone else had this experience?

Both the RAM and Motorsport pilot bearings I’ve installed in the last couple years fit flush so I’ll second the vote for try a different bearing and get a quality one.

Ordered a Ford Performance M-7600-A Roller Pilot Bearing. Iam going to see if that makes a difference.

FYI. Just a follow up. I took measurements of all the pilot bearings and they were all identical including the new Ford Performance one. None of them fit flush. The old one apparently didn't either and it had been installed for over 15 years with zero problems. I finished the job and everything works perfectly.
