Well went to pir lastnight and was knocking on the 12's door all night! Made 6 runs and the best was a13.01@106, my best 60' was a 1.64 with a [email protected] and the 1/8 in 8.22 i felt like ed lastnight when he was trying for 11's. Just about everyone was having traction issues (go figure) damn track, as well as myslef it seemed to be getting worst as the night went on? So other then the traction i wasent getting i also missed shift 2nd and some how 4? Damn this tremac is hell getting into 2gear! So we are thinking maybe it needs either new mounts or a torsion rod, thinking the motor is torqueing over? Or most likely the right answer it's the driver? peace

My tremec was a pain in the ass to try and shift first to second real hard.

Ben we took them down to 14PSI but i think we should of went lower, but i was getting disappointed! Jeff thats what i've been told also about them you just gotta have a hell of an arm! But i'm still in fear from the wimpy T-5's. peace

I was down there last night... Im about to ****can the Ranger. I ran slower than I did without the blower. Made 3 runs and went home. Im ticked. Chung.... we need to work on the damn timing!

Funny thing is, on the way home, it felt waaaaay quicker. Just my luck, slow enough to look like a jackass out there.

I really dont know how I went from 15.0 seconds to a best of 15.8. 60' was fairly good last night, omit the first run. The top speed just was not there.

Um yeah i beleive there is a couple guy's from here going but not sure? I talked to DNA DOA and MONGOOSE and they are both thiking of going? ALMOSTBLOWN sounds like the tune you got wasent to good or maybe you were just spinning the hell out of the tires and thats why you went slower either way tho i'm sure you guy's will get it worked out! I'm going back in 2 weeks and hittin the bottle! 11's peace

Actually, I laucnhed in 4x4, which gave me my best time. I will definatly be giving Chung a call next week to try figure out whats going on.

If that's true, I'd like to hook up with you guys somewhere tonight. I've never been to the track and don't have a clue where I'm going or what to do once I get there. That and it might suck spending the night looking for you guys.

You guys getting together somewhere before heading to PIR? I"ll meet you anywhere.

Well the funiest thing is my car has gone 12.3! Thats why i'm getting really discourage! I'm not the greatest or best driver but come on man 1 sec. off the cars pace? But then i cant knock myself to bad i only have 8 runs on the car and who knows how many the previous owner/builder had on it? I'll get there tho! I was closer to pulling the wheels like the previous owner did then his times I'm running slicks on the coupe and before in my 95 it was a rush just racing! But now the rush is in the launch that the slicks give ya!!!!!! You guy's gotta get slicks to experiance it! To me it feels like a 300lbs guy putting his hands on my chest and shoving me back as hard as he can!peace

Wereabouts are you in vancouver? Yeah that would be cool to hook up with ya and go to the track! I'm going in 2 weeks to run, but maybe next weekend to watch. I'm no pro in any way but i can give you the tips and steer ya in the right direction that i was. If it were me then i would get a set of micky thompson D/R's street tires really suck racing on! Whatever you do stay away from the nitto's they suck! Well atleast thats what i've experinced! peace

I live several blocks west of Fast Specialties here in Vancouver.

I talked to Mongoose last night on the phone for a bit, he sent me a PM about going to the strip last night. He was extremely helpful and we talked a bit about the basics. We were going to head over to PIR, but I ended up having to take a raincheck on it. I need to take care of registering my car in WA and I'd prefer getting my brakes done before taking my car to the track. They have maybe 15% life left on them. I'm upgrading to the Cobra setup, hopefully I can get them done ASAP.

If your planning on heading to the track next week to watch, maybe I'll meet you there or something. I'd like to get an idea of what I'm doing and where to go before I decide to run my own car. I've only dragraced once and it was about 4 years ago or more.
