O and i have had rock auto send me a lot. And i cant overstate a lot of parts that were wrong. Some i have made work with mods but most not that lucky. So please be carefull of that. And when you go away from a fox body start playing with the big guys. The parts get harder to match up and bad advice can really screw you up. The last thing you want is a brand new part you waited for to come to only have to send it back and wait again. Just my experience trying to pass on some info

Yea, your make'n friends here on a fox forum
And talk'n about f150s
And you ain't seen grumpy till you 'poke the bear' (madmike)
You remember bill jenkins on that rug in his underware smoke'n a cigar?
I think you should change your name to 'grumpy150' better than 'jessie hayes' makes you sound like one of 'us'
And it is good to have you with us

Yeah Jesse...you're way cooler than first thought.

I'm a big fan of 150s...and as long as they have 5.0s in them there's not a whole lot different.

The torque numbers depend on so much other stuff. Sounds like you'll have a cool truck when this is all said and done.

Be nice to see a thread on what you do....with lots of pics. We love pics.

I don't want to give bad advise at all. I'm not the smartest here.....and I learn through debates. ( all the rest just makes it entertaining )

I like Grumpy150 ...that has a nice ring to it.

Call anytime ya want.... Or throw in a . All it does is make people learn more.

So what's next after you get this engine in ?

Trucks went roller and HO firing order in 95.

Trucks used roller camshafts beginning in 1992. The Mustang long block should work fine in the truck but as already stated, the camshaft is not ideal for truck use.

Put in an aftermarket camshaft that fits the truck weight, transmission, & gearing better than the Mustang one. You will be much happier with the end result.

The swap has been done countless times and you will find lots of info on the truck forums. It seems like the better idea is to use all of the truck intake and accessories and use only the Mustang long block. This will make finding parts easier down the road also. The truck intake will outperform the Mustang one, do some mild porting if you wish to. Now would be a great time to find a pair of GT40P or GT40 heads from a JY and the shorty headers from a Mustang. Should work well in your truck.

Not sure probably tires my sure trade are about half wore out. And at 380 each I'll most likely pick a cheap mud tire. I'e been running the deal Is for years they work great but ware fast I love the Goodyear they dig like a mud tire don' make much noise and last forever but when its time to get 4 it' over 1600 ouch

I've always been a fan of Nitto Terra grapplers. They seem to work really well and not too loud. The Goodyear's are a decent tire, too. Tried and true.

How's that swap coming along ?

To post a picture its simple from a phone. When you are in the reply box there's a button on the right side that says upload file. When you touch that button it'll bring up the folders in your phone. ..like downloads or picture gallery. All you have to do is click on your photo gallery and tap the picture. When it uploads yap the button that sys " full size " it'll then show up in the typing screen. Tap post reply and the text and picture gets posted.

It took me a while to figure all this forum stuff out.....I just got rid of my trusty flip phone not all that long ago.

Its super hard to ID intakes without pictures.

Are the holes on the top of the lower intake circles, ovals, or pointed rectangles ?

I still like good ole carbed engines but it takes a bunch to do it correctly. Gutting the in tank fuel pump and removing the primary fuel pump. Plumbing in a low pressure fuel pump, getting a carb, a carb intake, a vacuum advance distributor, fuel pressure regulator, wiring a choke, and removing all the un- needed stuff to make it look right.

Projects are always like that for me too. I stick with one idea....but jeesh...I think about a lot of other things I'd like to do to it.
