My car has been dying randomly lately so i replaced the stator in the distributor since i read about a lot of ppl having the same problem and that fixed it...anyways...I removed the distributor, replaced the stator, now I cant get the car to start. I found TDC on #1, installed the dist. with rotor facing #1 and it still wont start....any ideas?

Are you sure the battery is strong enough and did not die for some reason? Also, maybe the starter is junk.

Make sure everything is connected. I know that sound stupid but I left that one connector that has your RPM wire on it and my car wouldn't start. I recommend any time you change the distributor to check it with a timing light also. Even if you are accurate with putting it in back the same exact way I'd always double check it. But even so, it should run even if the timing is off. Just double check to make sure everything is connected is all I know what to say. Good luck!

are you sure you are at TDC on the compression stroke on #1? one will feel air move out of the spark plug hole on the exhaust stroke also, and the car may or may not run being out of phase like that (it would run like poop if it even would catch).

good luck.
