Thank you in advance to anyone with answers.

I just got finished putting in my new adjustable clutch cable, firewall adjuster, and quadrent(with only one hook).

The quadrent and firewall adjusters are both from UPR but my adjustable cable is of a differant brand(I think)

Everything went in easy(quadrent looks perfect but rubs a little on some plastic shroud) but there is still SO MUCH slack in the cable even after screwing out the firewall adjuster all the way(counter clockwise) and adjusting the cable near the clutch fork.

Do I have to use the stock rubber piece as well as the firewall unit??!!!!

Is my cable the wrong length???

Any help would be much appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!

I run a UPR single hook quad and UPR FWA and stock cable and it's fine. Many adjustable cables are indeed longer (for proprietary quadrant/cable combos).

You should not need the rubber grommet with the FWA (I have one bud who does run both to compensate for a stretched cable however).

Do you have a stock cable to toss on and see how it does? Was the new cable compared to a stock cable for overall length?

What is the quadrant rubbing exactly? It should not rub anything.

Good luck.

change your quadrent or cable, get the 3 hook quadrent works wonders.

the 3 hook quadrant blows chunks. the hooks are at different angles, and it'll cause it to engage way to high up, and still have too much slop on top of the pedal.

As hissin mentioned, that adj cable is longer, I'd try swapping in your stock cable.
