here's what i know. Just had the car tuned (mod's in sig) with injectors trex and maf and everything seemed to be working great. Car had more power than ever. I believe the aformentioned tuning to be unrelated but i thaught it might give some background. I was driving home and the car just flat cuts out. Car won't restart... doesn't even try to turn over so it has to be electrical. I notice a "clicking" coming from the trunk and my a/f gauge and hood light flicker in sinc with it. I narrow down the "clicking" to the trunk on the driver side behind the tail light. A box that's labeled "remote keyless entry". I don't have remote keyless entry. I disconnect the box and the clicking ceases but the car still won't start and has no power even when on jumpers. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreaciated.

Last time I had a problem like that I broke a timing belt. I don't think that is the problem though.

Do the lights come on at all? Even though you haven't got remote keyless entry I would reconnect that box. It may interfere with the PATS and cause the problem to be worse. Your altenator may have gone out. Take it to a parts store for a test.

turned out to be a bad ground connection. Doesn't explain the clicking noise... but oh well.

Same prob here

I'm having the same problem. I just installed a whole new system: deck, speakers and amp in my 95 Cobra. I've already narrowed the problem down to the amp. I'm 90% certain it just isn't grounded well.

If anyone else has this problem with an amp, or without. Try disconnecting the negative connection to your battery, wait a couple seconds, and reinstall. This seemed to temporarily fix the problem.

Good luck all!
