Hey there i just, this might not be about mustangs but its kinda urgent, got a call from my dad, he has a 99 Yukon, and he doenst drive it much or even very hard. And what happened is that he went to go back it up outta the garage and its a automatic, but first gear isnt first, neutral isnt neutral, and lower drives arent where they supposed to be, its like all the gears got messed up, it all works but its like all the gears got jumbled, and theres no reverse??? can someone help me please!!!

is it just one off...like when the thing says neutral its actually in drive or when it says reverse its actually in neutral. i know a lot of people that have that problem with older cars...but never seen it on a newer one

is there even mechanical linkage on a new ride like that, or is it all electronic? probably need to find a tahoe forum and a repair manual. at least folks in a tahoe forum would be conversant with how it works.
some stuff is universal, but i know with mid 90's S-10's, there are all sorts of weird things and idiosyncrasies. good luck (im not trying to blow you off, but trying to think of the best place to get the answers you need).
