I think my last brake pads were installed incorrectly, as they are wearing incorrecly! I see that the new pads have rivits in different positions dependent upon if the pad is inboard or outboard. Could someone please tell me which is the inboard pad and which is the out board. Pics would help. Thanks ahead of time.

Are we talking front or rears. If rears the pins on the inboard pad have to be lined up with the caliper. There is a special tool to turn the piston in the caliper in and make the pads position right with the caliper. Fronts doesn't matter.

Are the pads the same size? Are the rivets flush with the back of the pad or do they stick out like a 1/4" or so?

They stick out a bit. One pad they are toward the middle, the other they are near the ends
