please help with rims!

I really need some rims on my car after the paint job scheduled march 30th the rims will seal the deal

However I am totally clueless on rims. I have never changed any rims on any car I have ever owned.
The rims on the car now are ponys and the car has lwoering springs

Is there a way I can figure out my tire and rim combo from the tire and rim combo I have now?

In the rear the car is lowwered and there is no way i could fit a bigger tire/rim combo in the wheel wells I cannot go wider then my current combo either if my springs werent so tight I think the tires would rub on every bump, please help

not 100% but the ponys are a 7" wide wheel? also the fact you have a SVO. but my 93 coupe i have 17x9 wheels all the way around and lowered. i just put 285/40/17's on the rear i have no quads and i get no rubbing at all. i have 3/8" spacers on the front with 245's only because the tires rub my coil overs. so unless the fender wells are diffrent on your SVO and my coupe you should be able to run a 9" wide wheel.my drag wheels are 26/10/15 slicks and they dont rub at all on the rear either,even with it squatted off the line. peace

You can use any tires/wheels that fit a 94-04 mustang, the fronts usually rub on sharp turning, but not always, rears....I think you can put a 275 on, don't quote me on that though. keep to a 245 on the front. Ponys won't fit....they're 4 lug

ill have to look, it is 5 lugs 16 inches and it has a horse running in the middle of it, i think there of a 94-95 stang? somone told me they are the lgihtest stock rims

not sure on the wideness but i think its a 225 on the rear and that is a very tight fit ill have to get some pics or check out the exact numbers

with quads still in place it could be a tight fit with your tire size? but if the wheels you have a a 3 split spoke then there 94/95 pony tri bar wheels. the fox ponys didnt come in 5 lug. and yes the tri bars are 8" also ifthats what you have? peace

I'm not sure how low your car is, but I fit 18x10 and 285s in the back of mine, and it is lowered (see my sig). I might even have a little more room for more tire? The only time I ever heard a tiny bit of rub, was on a really tight angle on a hill where it stuffed the wheel into the wheel well, and one other time when taking a very hard, sharp turn too fast!

There were 5 lug rims that were refered to as "ponies" but they were only on the 99+ GT's

The "waffle stars" possibly? Some refer to those as ponys?

The '99 - '01 Cobra wheels look and work good on an SVO. They're 8" wide.

this is what im running now on the front i have p215/60r16 yokohamas

on the rear is 225/60r16 good year eagles

the wheels are 5 lugs I know for sure i took one off last year they have a horse running in the middle of them and they are greyish, not shiny and the spokes are not straight middle out they looks like a starfish, biger in the middle then slightly thin out when on outside of rim

When i look at your car and then mine my tire looks like it fills my wheel well more then your tire does

I do not have the ambition to go any bigger, just want to know how to tell what size i could run on the car without any problems

from that pic, it looks like the previous owner completely stripped away everything that made that car an SVO...any front shots?

Yea basically the only way you can tell is on the title or the 4 wheel disc brakes

So does anyone know the measurements on those rims?

i believe they are 16x7.5
