I would like to remove my(emissions) egr pump. What am I going to need to do this? What do I do with the tube on the headers? Do I need new headers? Also how do I keep from getting a check engine light? Is there a kit?
Are you talking about your smog pump or your egr? The egr goes from the passenger side header to the intake manifold and smog pump pumps air into your cats. If you still have cats, dont take your smog pump off. In order to take the egr off, you have to cap the header and the intake manifold, while keeping the egr vavle on there for the computer. I wouldnt recommend taking the egr off either, because it saves gas mileage and doesnt hurt power.
