I just installed a trickflow plenum and frpp 700mm throttle body. Its running finr except for when i push in the clutch the engine races at 1600 rpm. it eventually comes down but after 10 seconds or so. also the same thing when i go to shift. i pushin the clutch and the rpms raise 100 or 200 rpm. What could it be. I can't find any leaks?

When i first installed my plenum and throttle body my car did the same thing. it would sit at about 1500 and come down after about 5 seconds or so. It went away after a few days. I have no idea what caused it

Nice screen name there heh.

It sounds like it's prolly the tps. It went out on kappaball's car after he swapped out his plenum. After replacing that, his car ran perfect. The tps cost him 30 bucks.

Man, this is a common problem AFTER a swap like this.

1 - Did you reset your computer? (ie disconnect battery) You need to do this if you did not. Disconnect the battery and hit the brake pedal a few times to completely discharge the computer memory, then hook back up and restart.

2 - You most likely damaged the TPS when changing it over. Replace it with a new one. Reset computer again.

3 - The base idle set screw may be messed up too. If the first two items do not fix the problem, let me know and I will tell you how to reset the base idle.

I had disconected the battery when i did the swap. I disconnected it again after i had the problem . I reconected it after about 15 minutes and started it up and let it idle. Then i shut it off and restarted it. Then i took it for another ride and its fine now just the way it should be. I thought it was the tps sensor also but thankfully thats not the case. but thanks for your help. And to all the guys making the comment about the 700mm thottle body. have'nt you ever just miss typed lol
