plug gap for 10:1 compression?

right now im running autolite 764's @ .054 and thinking of trying a little less gap, any suggestions?

you can stay thero or lower to .050

.050 would be good if you have the stock ignition. With more dramatic combustion events with higher compression the gap needs to be closed a bit in order to prevent the spark from "blowing out". My MSD manual recommended .040 for use with an MSD unit and 10:1 compression.

current ignition upgrades are:

stock dist.
MSD cap and rotor
MSD plug wires
ACCEL coil

and i have a MSD box that i need to install

If you have the MSD look in the book and it'll tell you what to gap the plugs at for your particular CR. If you don't have the book, the MSD book told me .040.
