Except sometimes when you gap a platnium plug, you scratch off the platnium coating and damage the tip.

That's what i was getting at. Don't buy plats and you don't need to worry about damaging them.

btolenti - The only plugs that should not be gapped are the Bosch +4's....and those suck in our cars.

I run them in both of mine and I love them. but then again I check every plug before I buy them (I can understand y some might have problems) and make sure to be carefull when I install them.

but if there is something I should know then please tell me. when i first got them no one knew anyhting about them. I just based everything off my track record with bosch and the theory behind the design.

I apologize for stating that. I have no direct experience with them, but have heard on this board and some others that some have had idle issues, etc. using the Bosch +4's.... Apparently some have had some success though.

I did use the Bosch +4's on my 91 exploder, and they had a rough idle. I switched back to the standard recommended plug, and everything was fine.

I was going to post re: plugs but since your on the subject, is anyone in here using denso iridium's? KB recommends them for their blower applications. Anyway, just looking for someone who is using iridiums & some input...

Again, no direct experience, but have heard good things about the TR-55's.....
