Here's the story guys....Ever since my Intake manifold cracked I've been getting this Ghost type code. I just call it that because it happens every once in a while but very hard to diagnosis..Since then, I replaced the Intake Manifold with a metal type style crossover but i keep getting this Evap code. I replaced the selenoid twice with a new one. I can't figure out why these keep popping up, mind you that i brought it to a professional mechanic and they cleaned all my connections etc. Can anyone point me in the right direction.

Note: If the car is driven long enough it doesnt even last for a day and CEL turns off, It wont come on till like a week later.

Thanks,
Nate

Nate, it's not just a matter of replacing the canister purge solenoid....there are 2 parts to the sysyem, 1 being the cainster purge solenoid and the other is call the "thermistor probe", which is usally the part that goes bad....the part # is F57Z-14A606-BA and sells for @$20.00

at any Ford dealer, we have them in stock if you need one and it just plugs in line wth the cainster purge solenoid......which I hope you bought a oem Ford one and NOT some aftermarket crap:eek:

No, I have an oem Ford on the car. Im just trying to figure it out how that goes on because all i remember is the 2 tubes connecting to it and a electrical connection at the bottom. What website i can order from?

web sites?..... I'm on many:D .........now the thermistor is in line wth the canister purge solenoid...comming off the plenum a short section of vac hose goes to the solenoid...then another section of hose and then the "thermistor"....then out of the thermistor the hose runs into the passenger side fender well and into the charcoal canister and the rest of the EVAC system.........I can be reached at 410-655-2000 parts ext 5618 and Im here from 8am to 4pm mon thru friday
