Yep,, That's all true. But I have been running it and I got to tell ya ,,,
"It's just to much fun"
When I pull in for gas I usually have someone ask if it's OK to take a picture.
I always have a crowd around my car when I pull in at a Cruise inn. And yes I have been pulled over. (He just wanted to check out the blower)
A cruise down the expressway is a blast,, I even get thumbs up from the Chevy guys. I have never seen a single modification get so much attention.
And the sound,, I don't think I even need to go there. And getting enough
boost is no problem. Getting it turned down to a reasonable amount is the goal. Working with two four barrel carburetors on a blower is a whole new animal. No chokes are needed even when it's cold. And adjusting them is
nothing like working with dual carbs without a blower. I have had a blast
figuring out how to come up with a street friendly blower.
Gas mileage? If i told you you would think I was chiting ya.
something to do with fuel atomization and even fuel distribution kept the mileage about the same as the factory fuel injection. I'm going to drive it to summit racing and check the mileage to exactly what I get on the breezeway. About 600 Mi round trip.
I'll do my bragging when I have exact numbers.
The days of avid street racing and high compression engines is just about over. Now I'm in it for the fun (but I can keep up if challenged) 10lb boost is plenty for me. I use this car as an every day driver. Even runs the same in a
rain storm. No problem. So point and make fun,, I'm the guy with a big smile on his face. I'm having more fun than any car I have ever owned it's a blast.
Having the blower block your vision isn't as bad as you might think. It sits back far enough to still see the right front.
On a hot day I roll with the windows up // I kept the A/C
