Since we were buffing the car I hit these with some compound and then polished em...with automotive polish mind you...I wetsanded em with 1500 to remove the Yellow and some clear that was peeling....

If youv'e done yours with the real "polish" for headlights, are these comparable??? Wondering if this is the best I'm gonna get or will some of the real polish better em???

Check this....The cars being polished...the glass guy calls me at work, a day early mind you, and wants in the garage to pop the new windshield in....I say great, my daughter will let you in...I'll be there in an about and hour with the 100.00 deductable... :D ...I get home, no van...he's gone...I see a note on the garage door...

Andy..had to re-order another windshield...The one i got had a chip in it, I'll be back....... :( :bang:  :nonono: :bang:
I swear..this car wont be done for another month the way things are going...

Hey Dawg
Try some Mother's chrome billet polish on headlights and taillights and then tell me what you think. :D Give them as many coats as you like but 2 good buffings will be sufficient.
You did it the hard way. :bang:

Actually I did chit...I talked somebody else into giving it a try... :D :spot: and talked him into hitting the tails to boot....
I was hoping for a tad more brilliance so to say...I have some Mothers, but its the Alum polish...
Thanks for the idea....

RIO, I taped everything off w/ plastic trash bags, and sprayed 2 coats of clearcoat spraypaint. They look really good now. Here is an old pic. They were really yellow.

They aren't close ups, but they should give you an idea.
