Christmas was good. Santa came a day early as I was on shift for the 25th. My buddy has a 06 GT, put on SLP Loudmouths for him and OMG! Every shift he offered me the keys. THat @$$%*&^ I took them everytime! The dealer priced the difference it $60/month. So I made the plunge! I will always respect the Stang no matter what it is packing! I'm sure Rygen,Fazm,scrming, or somebody will blow past me someday SOON! Happy New Year!
What makes yeaaaa think you will get the GT in March???
The 2007s will be out in June and yea can order a 2007 in early March....
I think if yea do geta GT if ordered now you MIGHT see it by June or July,Why not get a 2007????
And please all dealers lie about getting the cars in 8-12 weeks...JT

Well Jenn it has been a year in planning hasn't it? LOL I know the dealer pretty well. I have dealt with him in the past and has always been honest. He told me he couldn't get a priorty 10. They are a rural dealer and sell alot of trucks but, not a lot of stangs. I am not in a huge rush for the car. I would like the bad weather to leave Cincy before I pick it up. 06,07 not a big deal. I would like the thing before summer. Gangwar what year stang do you have? How long did it take to get yours?
I had mine since Laborday weekend.

I was very happy getting it at invoice since no other Dealers had any 06 Gts in Pa and Nj area at the time.(and they still don't have many if any still in the areas}
I placed a order in June for a 06 and did not want a 05 gt because I knew in 2 months the 06s will be out...
Went to a dealer in NJ that told me that I could get the GT at X-Plan.....Great I felt,dealer told me that I was the first to order a GT and I should get the first GT that they get in....I felt i hit the jackpot.
My Priority was #10

Anyway that Friday I looked on the Ford Web site and they got a GT that I wanted but in a Automatic and not a Manual...
I called the dealer and they told me that they moved my Priorty up to #8 and the salesman told me he can move me to #1 also....
Anyway that sat laborday weekend I called ford up and i was still C/U,,,,,I was very annoyed,I was surposed to get the first GT and I am still at C/U.Even today i am still C/U..
I called maybe 40 - 50 dealers and no one had Gts in stock and maybe the 1 or 2 that did would not go under sticker.
My last call before I was going to give up,I got the salesmanager and he told me he had 1 GT and he would be happy to see me the car at Invoice......Great I took a slow drive about 2 hours(its only 30 mins from me}and bought the Gt...And since then he has had only 1 other Gt in stock......So in 4 or 5 month the dealer has only got 2 GTs....I have a dealer near me that wants above sticker,he has 2 in stock...And have a few other dealers near me that have not seen a gt yet,,,,But they do get V6s lol......
Hope yea get the car and glad you know the guy.
In my case and sure it happen to many others that we all should buy from the lots instead of ordering one.JT

Just come to the good ole' south where you can find a GT! There are many in Texas...waiting to have an owner like puppies in a dogpound ha ha ha. I hear em whimpering sometimes when I drive by its so sad!
Seriously though, I think they are easier to come by here in central Texas I see GT's at dealers lots often.

Well I ordered mine on a time table. If it gets here with in a reasonable time, it will show up after my tax return gets in(my down payment). Also I wanted cloth and MT. Most of the Gts in this area are all loaded up AT,leather,shaker 1000. I wanted a MT, my butt gets too cold too easy for leather LOL,and the only loud music i need is that motor with SLPs! I'm confident it will work out. If not I'll guess I'll end up with an 07. Either way I will have one of the hottest cars on the street today! oh and congrats on the new car, probably your best Labor day yet!

I always purchase off the lot. 3 stangs under my belt and I just can't wait on the ordering process BS. I got lucky with the 03 GT and had a order cancellation of my exact car and I snagged it up ASAP.

hummm I bought a 1995 Gt and 2000Gt,2003 GT and my baby 2006 GT.....
The First GT I got screwed i think
The Second and 3rd Stang GT I walked into the dealer and said I wanted the car at $200 over invoice and never had a problem.....
And the 2006 GT got that at Invoice and guess I am kinda lucky because not many dealers have Gts in stock in the north east(or they say they will order yeaaa one and you still will not see the car}
I see yea can get a Gt on a dealer lots in the south at a few ford dealers at invoice...But when yea get down to Florida and Texas you will pay sticker and above........
My advise buy one on alot and don't order one,even if you have to have it shipped to yeaaaaaa for a few hundred dollars.Its better to know you are getting one shipped and don't know if you will ever see the Ordered....JT
