Well I have a good deal of problems with my 8.8. The pinion seal has started leaking, the bearings are worn out, the axle on the right side has about 1/8" of play in it, and the Trac-Lok unit is in need of re-clutching. So after 270k miles on a lot of original stuff, what are my options to replace this piece of junk? What other cars could I possibly rip one off of in terms of "direct swap"? Or should I just look at reconditioning the entire thing? I want the easiest way but cheapest at the same time because I just don't have a lot of time on my hands right now. What years of other cars would work perfectly as well???

well MO is i never go used because most of the time you have to rebuild anyway. and i am surprised you got 270k on it with all the stock stuff. anyway gutt it all out you can get a 5-lug conversion from 50resto for like 200 or something. comes with new axles, bearings front rotors or just a 4-lug kit take the worn out track-lock to a shop have em rebuild it and since you prob need new gears get any one's you like. also the instalation kit with all the good junk that you can buy with the gears (seals and all that junk)should set you right up.
