99% of time with cold engine-low speed or off idle have sputtering, slight miss?
sometimes popping through exhaust.changed/swapped maf,iac,tfi mod,coil,fuel filter,checked/changed ign timing,varied f/pressure 39-43 psi,new plugs wires cap rotor.seems to go away when engine is warm(did once with warm.ckecked for vac leaks(hoses-gaskets)
runs good otherwise. head gasket??(no oil milkshake or bubbles in coolant.

Scary...

Sounds like a form of a vaccume leak. Could be a gasket, could be a leak. Try spraying some liquid (brake clean, intake cleaner) around the the intake especailly near the gaskets, if the sputtering and miss goes away when you hit a certian area, that is where you need to concentrate. If nothing, have the block checked for hydrocarbons by using a detector in the radiator.

this sounds like what my car has been doing since i bought it but thought it was suppost to do that becuase it has been moded. i checked everything and found out it was the throtle postioning sensor TPS and i drill the slot out bigger and got about .94 Volts. it started up easier and doesnt pop when i give it gas when the rpm's go down and a little better idle.

my car acts the same way when first started in the morning or when she is cold. from my reading it is because of the cam... i messed with the tps a little bit ago, its at about .97, i know at .99 the spudering/poping isnt so bad. mine only does it at low rpm's, once i get to about 1800, it dosent do it and she feels powerfull. once coolent temps go up, it goes away. i figured it was because of the cam and a cold engine... can someone else chime in and clear this up...
