popping under hard accelleration?

Yes, I think it most definetely has to do with the stock computer trying to run a motor that makes 2.5 times as much horsepower as originally designed for. Think about all the variables, suck as stroke and air volumes that are litterally "off the chart" different than your old motor.

That picture of the spark plug looks O.K. to me.
 
I have to use a wrench on the spark plug socket. On one of the plugs I can't even get the socket on and have to use just a wrench. It's definitely a pita to change plugs on this motor.

It ran pretty good this morning, but it was acting up a little on the drive home from a car show I went to. I think the tune will fix all. It's been staying fairly cool, but I have to run the fan on high all the time.
