Well I wanted to see what all the fuss was about, so I just ordered some. I`ve got some rust issues in my floor pans, pits mainoy, but I`ve heard you can use this stuff and some mesh and fill in smaller holes.

Anyone have any input on this?

i swear by it.it's tough as nails and lasts forever.

what i do is coat my floors with por 15, then spray undercoating (rubberized sray that is a sound deadner) which helps seal in the por 15 even better.

i have pics if you would like

I've used POR 15, I'm quite a novice at any sort of repair and I was able to do it successfully, its is an easy to use project and it does produce results. Unfortunately I didn't have a compressor so i used a brush to put it down, it made it a little harder and it didn't come out as smooth as the ones above, but I used Second Skin's products (sound dampening) on top of it and it makes such a difference.

I por 15'd my engine bay. It looks pretty good. hand brushing it sucked tho. And it is pretty tuff. It may scuff, but it doesnt chip or peel off.

I Por 15'd my trunk, fender wells and engine bay. To repair rust holes in my fenders I used Por 15 + another product that's their version of fiberglass impregnated bondo. Came out pretty smooth and strong. We will see how those repairs hold up on the street though.

Can you use it on painted metal? I ordered new floor pans and I'm thinking about POR-15ing them, but they already have a good coat of black paint on them and I don't want to try to get that off.

To be correct it really needs to be against bare metal.

One thing though guys...

If you get this por-15 on your hands be ready to wear it awhile, NOTHING will take it off. I`m talking brillo pads and gasoline kinda tough, and that didnt work either.

The sample pack was all it took for me to buy some more.

Remember that POR-15 is NOT UV stable.. if the area is going to be exposed it needs to be top coated or it will turn a funky color.

Good stuff though, were gloves
