Port and Polish: Any disadvantages?

A great mod I hear for aftermarket heads, but is there anything bad I should know before doing this or is it just hard on my wallet?

it is all good, just don't cut too much aluminum away

Just make sure you get a reputable shop with a flow bench to do it for you and you'll have no troubles.

only disadvantage is lowing some low end torque, and like the others said, make sure it is done right and you'll be happy with it

Dumb question, but I'd assume it doesn't affect fuel economy, right?

i am not positive but i dont see how it could, but gas mileage is gona get worst testing out those new heads

Just remember, you can have too much flow for your engine, so porting the hell out of your heads doesnt always mean you'll gain power. More flow equals less air velocity. If you've got forced induction though, it's aaaaall good.
