I just picked up a set of ported E7's that flow about the same as an out of the box GT-40. I was wondering if I would see reasonable gains from having the stock lower ported? Or would the stock intake manifolds be sufficient in this case? Thanks!

Definitely hit up tmoss, he ports lowers for a great price; The stock lower is restrictive with stock heads, let alone ported heads.
Either that or pick up a used explorer/gt40 intake for like 250.

Actually, a properly ported lower with a gasket match of the upper will flow ~200cfm - right with a stock Cobra (not more though). Either intake will work well, but the ported stocker will make more average power below 4,500 rpm and right at the same average power through ~6,000 rpm.
