I've been porting my P.I. heads on the exhaust side and in the chamber for sometime now to where it looks good (hopefully flows well). I've been using a dremel tool with barrell rollers with rough, mild, and fine and does a good job.
I haven't touched the intake ports at all. i cant get all the way down to the bottom but i've been told to leave them alittle rough to still keep some turbolence. what do you guys suggest? go down as far as i can and work up?

You should be able to buy some long shank carbide cutting bits that are aluminum specific to work the runners. Go ahead and gasket-match the ports and transition them back to the bowl area. The key to a good port job is consistency and smooth radiuses. Remember, more gains can be made by increasing velocity and flow capability than just volume alone.

i was shown how to do the exhaust and chamber but never the intake. i'm not worried about messing the heads up...i have a complete set of npi heads that are worked and flow benched that can go on anytime and another set of npi heads that are in pieces that i'm tinkering with. i'm a future technition and not scared one bit.
