Porting Iron gt40 Questions

I'm porting a set of iron gt40s and I'd like to know how much I can teardrop and streamline the valve guides' bosses before I run into any trouble. Ditto for raising the roof of the ports, and for increasing the flow bias on the intake port.

Any pictures of your finished gt-40s would be very helpful.

Just in case your going to talk crap; yes - I have searched the forums, I'd like to know about gt40s, not P's or e7's, yes - I've ported heads before and I know to get a 3 angle job, good valves, shave the gt40s for compression, and spend most of my time porting the bowls; and no, I'm not going to go buy some AFR's.

Come on guys, someone out there at ported their own GT40's before and can tell me how much valve guide boss can go - Thumper, Tmoss??

You might not want my advise I hit the water jacket on my gtp's. Here's a site on gtp's that might give you some ideas. GT40P_Home_Porting - Page: 1 of 6

I'd concentrate on the egr bumps an cleaning every thing up.
