I understand totally if nobody can answer this because I can't be too specific. Recently, seemingly totally randomly, my car started making this really awful burning smell. It happens almost everytime I drive the car and it doesn't seem to matter if I ride it hard or just cruise. My first thoughts went to the clutch but it is not slipping and it feels strong. A friend of mine is a mechanic at the local Goodyear and he said it does smell like clutch but it feels fine and visually there's nothing he can really see to tell (he said all this with his head stuck underneath my car in the driveway) Another friend of mine said it smelled like a plastic bag had caught under the car and was burning to give you an idea of the smell (visually confirmed no plastic bags
