Looks about like my car did when I bought it, except my paint wasn't that bad (wasn't perfect either though), and it had 99k on it. I payed $5,500 for it.

It sure does need some work.

I wouldn't give more than 4.

4500 would push it really really hard.

I wouldn't offer more than $6,000 maybe $6,250 max if you really, really like it. If it weren't for the paint, I would feel more comfortable with that offer. Just remember, these cobras are only going to depreciate so much before they stabilize and and prices start slowly climbing. Right now they're about rock bottom. If you plan on keeping her for a long time, you have to take that into consideration. What I'm trying to say is, it's not like you are buying a 95 Ford Probe that's going to be worth nothing in a few years.

u can get a gt in GOOD shape for $4000 and do $1500 in work to the engine and have it perform much better than the cobra......thats a much better idea if you ask me...and i always think if the car looks mistreated on the outside chances are its mistreated in the engine too

I paid 6k for mine five years ago in prestine condition except the high 120k miles.
I would say 4,500 but it also depends a lot on what part of the country that you live in.

That car looks like garbage. $4500 max. Don't get me wrong I think it is a terrific platform, I just think the fact that you need to consider a paint job into the equation really kills the excitement at least to me. If it weren't for the paint and the junkyard looking engine bay I would say $6000.

Wow.

My GT looks way better inside and out and I've got the original paint and interior (minus seats). Heck, my 14 year old GT looks better than most 3-4 year old cars in various parking lots.

Back on topic: I'd say a 95 Cobra in great shape would go for $5.5K. Deduct $1K for the horrible paint. Deduct another $500 for crappy interior. From there, it is all up to how the car runs, starts, accelerates, brakes, sounds, shuts off, etc. Any smoke from the tailpipes? Knowing what I know now, I'd arrange to have the car put on a lift for a quick underside inspection.

Lastly, you should check the fluids and see if they are anywhere close to the color God intended them to be.

I'm still surprised to find that people will try to sell their car without a good interior and underhood cleaning.

Aim low and hope for the best. I'd offer $3.5K and hope for no more than $4K, but ONLY if I had extra money set aside to repaint the car and do a thorough maintenance job on it (complete tune-up, replace every fluid/hose/belt, oil change, and compression test/oil pressure test).

So what is the guys price? Even close to what these guys are recommending? Personally at anything more than 4500 I would not even consider it. As rough as the car looks, what could possibly be going on with the engine, drivetrain and all the little nickel and dime you to death issues. Maybe even that is too much.

I look at it this way: My GT looks really nice inside and out (one blemish on the rear bumper) with the typical small rock chips up front. My engine bay gets cleaned 2-3 times a year. The engine starts up quickly, idles great, runs as strong as new, and shuts down with no extra noises. The exhaust sound is clean and proper and no smoke. No leaks. No squeaks. AND I've invested in a few mods (see sig below) to make the GT better than stock. The car has 163,000 miles and never been in a wreck of any kind.

With all that being said above, I don't think I could sell my car anything over $6K and honestly, some might offer much less. At the very least, I know that anyone taking a hard look at my car would have NO reason to doubt my claims or the quality of the car in its current state. I would try to eak out every last cent in selling my car, but as of several years ago, my car is worth more to me fully paid for than ever selling it for money.

We need a price. Are you interested in keeping the car or just selling it later for profit?
