Possibly the greatest American car ever??

Ya when you have the President and CEO stating that he got into the business to build cars not be a health care manager as they spend over $3billion a year on people who don't work there any more it's a real shame.

If they could start building cars that people actually want and can compete with the foreign cars coming into America, get their out of control health care costs taken care of, they might actually have a chance.

Yes that is bone stock with no mods on the tires it came with from the factory.

You can spend that amout of money on your car and throw some slicks on the Vette and I am sure it would have no problem keeping up.

If the Vette's suspension would hold, and given that mph, it has the power for 10's.

It looked like the tires were biting pretty well. With street tires, I couldn't get near the 11's.

I've seen a stock Mercedes AMG 600 (Turbo) run 11.80's off the showroom floor. It cost 125K; so it's good to see the Vette run those numbers. Was the yellow one a special model, or is it the standard C6? I guess I am out-of-touch. I need to get my nose out of MM&FF.

Oh and yes thats a zo6, (ya know the 7.0 liter motor) just think what your car would run like with a 427 or 428....
I'm thinking about having a car that could corner better than my STI and out-accelerate the '03 Cobra with anything other than a Kenne Bell. Stock.  .

And it's dead sexy, looks better than either one. Although it does not have a dual-plane wing, which is an issue for me... :rlaugh: :nonono:.

I dont know, the review I have of it head to head against the viper, the vette was twitchy and unnerving in the corners, according to the authors. They liked the predictability of the viper more, but in a strait line the vette won out.

So I doubt it would out handle an STI (few cars will). If they both had the same power to weight ratio, the sti would probably rock its world, on the road course.

Nope, the Z06 does handle better than the STi and the viper. Whoever said the viper was more predictable should either not be biased or learn how to drive. The Z06 got the 2nd best ever time for a production car at the Nürburgring right after the Carrera GT which was 10sec faster but also had a flying start compared to the vette's standing start. Not even the Ferrari's or Lambo's came close.
So you really think that a "tuned" suspenssion rally look alike 4 door family car is going to out handle a purposely built for handling car like the Z06?
The Impreza STi does not share a any of the suspenssion, drive train, brakes and engine components with the $800k WRC version.
