Post Engine Bay Pics!

did that come with mass air stock? what year is it?

i have the same boost controller on the golf

They all came with what's called a Vane Air Meter. It has a door inside that moves sort of like a throttle blade. It's pretty gay actually but gets the job done. There were 2 different sizes, that one being the largest size from the Tunderbird Turbo Coupes. You have to get the matching ECU to go with it.

You can't go wrong with the Gillis boostvalve...it's simple and dead reliable.

Pretty much stock, 3G alternator and Taurus fan going in shortly.

Having 2 filters and all the line to do the remote mount allows you to run about a quart more oil than the regular location. This is another reason that I think it has a remote mount turbo, with would require a little more oil, but allow you to keep the stock pan.

I am really interested in learning more about this car, as I am almost to the point I am ready to order my turbo. As one might guess I am looking at remote mount, or something close too.

I know it is not the first time that car has been posted on here, I hope the original poster can chime in, just trying to get ideas.
