You took the stripes off?

Yeah, I had messed up a part where two of the longer stripes met and it was really triggering my OCD. I like the look though, waffling on doing it again. It was like $40 shipped.

All about plausible deniability, not that I think one of y’all is going to try the jack move.
mikestang63 said:
how do you like the rear diflector? Carter's Custom?
It’s actually not the Carter’s piece. It’s two universal diffusers combined, then trimmed. The difficulty in mounting is where the money for the CC price is worth it.
All that said, I love it. Makes the look completely different and it still looks like it could have been OEM. I have actually heard the ignorati tell their friends at car shows that “only the Cobra coupes came with the rear diffuser”….Fckn lol!
It’s hard to bite my tongue sometimes.

For all the money I spent on this car, that’s how I’m gonna roll with my coolant overflow

Back when I was in my early 20’s and I had more brilliant ideas than I do now… I decided to siphon the coolant out of the upper intake in my Camaro because I was about to take it off… got a mouthful of the green stuff. It actually does taste a bit like a flat Mt Dew. I can see why animals die drinking it, it’s quite tasty. But it has this little twist to the flavor that kinda numbs the tongue… it sorta screams poison. Haven’t tried to siphon anything since. That was such a bad idea. lol

A little then and now. The day she came home off the lot 32 years ago, 4year old me in the front dreaming it would be mine! And now how she sits. Wife and I just had our first baby boy, can’t wait to hand down the keys when he’s ready. Hopefully she’ll always be in our family. Lots of memories in this car!

End of an era. I painted the car over the last few months, got it back together last week and drove it around this weekend. Took this pic sunday afternoon, and sold it Tuesday evening. I owned it 2 weeks shy of 12 years.

He was a young kid, 20 years old. He was ecstatic about the car. I was happy to see a younger generation appreciate the Foxbody, and told him to text me with any questions he had or if he needed help with something.
I'm sure I'll miss it at times, but it needed to go so I can get serious about finishing the 66.

I listed it Sunday evening, in 48 hours I had 1500 views, 20 people message me, 2 come to look at it, with 3 more scheduled. 2nd guy bought it on the spot.
I honestly couldn't believe how much interest there was and how fast it sold.
I may have priced it too low, but I'm happy. I think sometimes we're hyper critical of our own cars because we know every little flaw and shortcoming.
