How do you guys feel about having the cooling system machine flushed? I still have some gunk in mine after running the engine off a garden hose for half an hour, not that surprising since the coolant was a dark rust color when I bought the car. I want to get everything thoroughly cleaned out before it can clog my new radiator, so rather than refilling and flushing it several times, should I just have it done at a shop?
Secondly... has anyone with the Griffin universal radiator (31X19" 2 row) found a lower hose that fits better than the stock one? One member suggested turning the hose 180 degrees and trimming it, but since I'm going to buy new hoses anyway, I'm wondering if there's one out there that's a better choice.
