i was thinking about fitting a 2 stage nos kit to my '94 auto gt.other than a lumpy cam the engine is standard.what size shot shoul i go for?
also how much power will the standard 4sp o/d tranny & rear axle and their associated mounts take reliably?
car has done 41.000 miles&gets an oil service every 3 months.

Do you have the stock fuel pump still?

Anything above 100 you need to look at upgrading the fuel pump. Most just jump to the 255 as the 190 isn't much cheaper and you are already in there doing the work.

If you plan to run a dry shot, I would look at bigger injectors as well. But I've never seen a 2 stage dry shot, so i doubt that's the route you are headed.

When you go to change the fuel pump in the tank. I recommend getting a filler neck grommet from Ford or a parts store. They like to tear on vehicles our age.

As far as the tranny. It really depends on the condition of it. How's the fluid look and smell? How's it shift?

Just remember, never race in O/D or you will fry the band. Also do you have gears in the rear end of the car?

thanks for the reply. tranny oil is lovely and clean and smells like new and the tranny shifts pretty seamlessly although at higher rpm i seems a little slow on the up change,4500rpm plus, although to be fair my only point of reference is a 3 year old mercedes 5 speed auto box. as for gears,i'm still stock as i like the economy when commuting.18~22 mpg round town.(uk gallon has 32 floz more than us)
